Q: WHAT IS THE BOOKING PROCESS?
So you want to book a session?
Please excuse me while I jump up and down for a second!
I'm so excited to work with you <3
Once you have chosen the session that works best for you,
I will send you an e-mail containing a contract for you
to read through and sign electronically.
After that, I send you an invoice for your
non-refundable initial payment to reserve your date.
The remainder of the balance is due the day before the session,
or for weddings the balance is due 2 weeks prior to the date.

Everything is done online which makes it
SUPER easy and convenient for you!
I try my best to keep things simple!
Q: HOW DO YOU DELIVER PHOTOS?
I use an online gallery to deliver all of the
professionally edited, high res photos.

Using this method makes it SUPER easy and convenient
(are you sensing a theme?) for you to receive your images.
You will get your own personal download code in order to
download your high resolution images.
You can also share this gallery along with the download code
to any family or friends that want in on the fun!

The gallery is extremely easy to navigate,
and if for any reason you are having trouble,
I've created a video tutorial walking you through the download process.
Q: DO YOU PROVIDE PROPS?
I do not provide props or clothing.
I focus on the person or people in front of my camera.
My main goal is to capture you as you are.
No fancy props, lighting equipment, or fancy clothing needed.
The only thing I need is you and my camera!

However with that said, if you personally have anything you wish to include
in your photos, please feel free to bring any props you would like!
Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS GET DELIVERED?
This completely depends on package you choose.
Please see the "investments" tab above.
You can find everything you need to know about the packages, pricing,

and amount of photos you will receive there!
Q: ARE PRINTS AVAILABLE?
Yes! I have access to a professional lab that I offer prints through.
All prints are by request only!

Q: WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY SESSION?
I would personally stay away from any neon colors, especially orange!
I find that neutral colors and earth tones work great, or toned down colors
like light blue, navy, pastel colors, etc work great as well!
I would also avoid any large logos on your clothing,
as it will distract from your face

But most importantly, wear something comfortable!
Q: CAN I HAVE THE RAW/UNEDITED IMAGES?
Short answer... no.
Long answer... I put so much time, effort, and hard work into each
and EVERY image that I deliver.
We are talking hours.. and HOURS of work.
When you hire me as a photographer you are hiring
me for my editing style and skills.
And no, you can't buy the raw/ unedited images.
The ones you don't get are truly outtakes.
The ones with your eyes closed, mid-sentence, moving in
a weird way, funny look on your face, or blurry.
I include every photo that is worth keeping.  I promise!
Q: WHAT ARE YOU MOST
COMFORTABLE PHOTOGRAPHING?
First, let me start by saying... I'm always down to try new things!
After all that's the only way we learn.
But typically the majority of my sessions are portraits, families, couples,
and the occasional wedding (which I really enjoy).

So really, I'm down to do anything!
If I feel I am under qualified I will be the first to say so.
I will always be up front with you.
Q: WHEN CAN WE EXPECT PHOTO DELIVERY
For basic sessions (anything that isn't a wedding / event)
You can expect gallery delivery roughly 4 - 5 weeks after your session date.
For weddings and events,
expect your gallery to be delivered roughly 8 - 10 weeks
after your session date.
Q: DO YOU SHOOT IN A STUDIO
AND/OR WITH LIGHTING EQUIPMENT?

I shoot outdoors with natural light ONLY.
I do not use any lighting equipment at all,
and I do not shoot in a studio.
I depend on what is around us in nature to craft your photos.
I am very much about keeping it simple,
as that creates a more laid back, relaxed environment.
Which produces the best images in my opinion.
Q: WHAT GEAR DO YOU USE?
I shoot with a Canon 6D Mark ii.
The lenses that I reach for are the Canon 50mm F1.8
 and the Canon 85mm F1.8.
Most of my portraits are taken with my Canon 85mm F1.8.

Q: CAN YOU HOLD A DATE FOR ME?
Unfortunately no I can't, I'm sorry.
All dates are a first come first serve basis, and require a
non-refundable retainer to reserve your date. Without this payment,
your date is still up for grabs to whoever pays that retainer first.
Once that retainer is paid, I refuse that date to anyone else, as I
dedicate one session per day.
Q: PAYMENT PLANS FOR WEDDINGS?
YES!
I do offer payment plans for weddings only!
Depending on the package you choose,
or the package we create together.
There is a non refundable retainer due
at the time of booking / contract signing.
That MUST be paid in order to reserve your date,
as I can not "save" the date for you without this.
Dates are first come first serve. (as mentioned above)

Once that is paid, 50% of the remaining balance will be due 60 days prior to
wedding. And the remainder will be due 2 weeks prior to wedding.
For weddings that are booked more short notice, payment plans are not
available after the retainer is paid. The remaining balance will be due in full
no later than 2 weeks prior to wedding.

For regular shoots, there are no payment plans available.
Q: WHAT TIMES OF THE DAY DO YOU PREFER TO SHOOT?
GOLDEN HOUR!!!
I typically try to schedule sessions about an hour before sunset, as that is my
FAVORITE time to shoot. We can also do the hour after sunrise!
This time of day just produces the MOST flattering light!
Of course it doesn't always work out this way,
and I can make due during other times in the day.
However I do prefer to completely avoid 11am - 4pm. As the sun is directly
overhead and creates really unflattering shadows on the clients face.
Q: DO YOU TRAVEL?
I can!
I would totally be up for traveling! This would of course lead to pricing
changes. The client would be responsible for my travel expenses. But this
would be figured out before booking. This would include (but not limited to)
flights, rental car, and hotel stay, if needed.
Q: HOW SHOULD I PREP MY FAMILY
BEFORE A SESSION?
Here are a couple helpful tips.
Well-rested, well-fed kiddos (and adults) are a must!
Make sure they get a great nap before the session and that they’ve eaten. If you have an evening
session, try to push naps a little later than usual if possible.
Avoid colorful drinks or lollipops within 24 hours of the shoot,
and don’t let your kids eat or drink anything that will stain their face,
teeth or mouths prior to the session.
I know it can feel overwhelming to get everything ready,
but try as hard as you can to stay calm around your children.
Kids pick up on stress super easily and will be fussy at your session.
Q: DO YOU EDIT ALL OF THE IMAGES?
Yes. Every image you receive from me has been
carefully edited by me, one at a time.  I put hours and hours of thought
and work into the final product that you see.
I also do not take editing requests, within reason.
All edits are completed at my discretion in order to fit my style and workflow.
If there is something you are self conscious about,
for example a mole on your chin,  a scar above your eye,
those I can certainly help with as long as you ask before hand.
Re-edits will not be done after the final product has been delivered.

I will not alter my style of editing.

If you would like a different style,
I would highly suggest looking for a photographer
that fits the style you are looking for.
Q: WILL OUR IMAGES HAVE

YOUR LOGO ON THEM?
All images you see posted online will have my watermark / logo on them.
However ALL images delivered to you as final product will NOT have any
watermark or logo on them whatsoever! Of course it would be appreciated if
you tagged my photography page once you post your images for your friends
to see. When you open your delivered gallery, the images there will have my
logo to help in preventing screen shots. Once the gallery is downloaded
properly, the images will no longer have the logo on them :)
This is also to ensure you are getting the high quality photos that you paid for.
Q: DO WE GET THE COPYRIGHT TO THE IMAGES?
I do include a copyright release, which generally means you have permission
to have the images printed by yourself wherever you want.
However this is not the same as obtaining copyright.
Copyright basically means that I am the creator of these images, and I "own"
the copyright. Selling or obtaining the copyright as the client is not possible.
But you do have the right to print and share your images as much as you like.

Q: IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY SHOOT/WEDDING,

IS THE RETAINER
REFUNDABLE?

The retainer fee is non-refundable. The retainer fee guarantees that I will
hold the date for you, and you alone. Once the contract is signed and the
retainer is paid, I turn down all other inquiries for that date.
HOWEVER, you can put that retainer towards another shoot, or if the
wedding is rescheduled, it can be put towards that so long as I am available for the new date.
Please note there is a 1 month time limit to apply this to a rescheduled session, anything outside of that time frame a new retainer must be paid to hold your date, and the previous retainer remains non-refundable.
Q: AT MY WEDDING CAN FAMILY AND

FRIENDS TAKE PHOTOS WITH THEIR

CAMERAS?
Although I do not have an issue with this normally,
I have had issues with this in the past.

I ask that you make sure to let everyone know to respect my presence as the
paid photographer on site, and not push me out of the way, or stand in the
way of the shot. I ask that they not swarm around while I am taking photos
as not everyone's eyes will be facing me, resulting in sub-par photos, at no
fault of my own.

Please keep in mind that if family members or guests get in the way of the
shot, I am not responsible for any key moments missed due to said family
member or guest ruining the shot, and not staying out of the way.
So it is very important that you make it clear to ALL guests to respect my
presence and try to stay out of the line of the shot.

I do NOT allow family or friends to tag along for the portraits of the
bride and groom for privacy reasons, and with other people around the
couple will be distracted by everyone else instead of focusing on each
other.

I DO require to be the ONLY  paid photographer on site,
which is in my contract.
